The Region's Pioneer Business School

Erie Business Center opened its doors in 1884 as Clark's Business College and quickly became one of the foremost business training institutions in our part of the country.

Led by the McGeary Family
for over 80 Years

In 1923, Charles P. McGeary, Sr. became owner and president of what was then known as Erie Business College. He continued to direct the school until his death in 1953. His wife, Chelsie S. McGeary, then assumed the presidency of the institution until her death in 1972. Charles P. McGeary Jr. took over as Director, a position he held until 1988.

Today, Mr. McGeary serves as President and Chairman of the Board with Hope A. McGeary serving as Secretary and Christopher C. McGeary serving as Treasurer. Samuel L. McCaughtry is Chief Executive Officer of EBC.

Campuses in Erie and New Castle

The Erie campus of EBC is located at 246 West Ninth Street, just west of Sassafras Street. The school's Practical Nursing Program is located nearby, at Metro Center on West 11th Street. The New Castle campus, formerly New Castle Business School, is located at 170 Cascade Galleria in New Castle, Pa.
